All we have in this world is “our attention”. Whatever we do, it requires our attention. Working, loving, giving, serving, arguing, hating, sleeping, eating, praying and talking–it all begs and seeks our attention. We must be mindful of how we SPEND our time, and what we PAY attention to, as it can be costly. The entertainment world knows this and spends billions of dollars each year in advertisement to gain our attention. What we pay with our attention becomes our new or reinforced concepts, ideas, and behaviors. When we pay attention, we give our focus and the resource of time and energy. That energy is power and becomes the catalyst to shape and reshape our individual world and consequently the world at large. So be mindful of the valuable commodity of your attention; make sure the object of your attention is worth your time, effort, and energy.
