I promised Cricket Wireless I’d post my disappointment on the Internet, so here I go. Cricket Wireless does not honor their commitments. I left my other wireless provider believing they’d honor the offer they gave me a month ago. Now I’ve cut off my other phone and Cricket has charged me for the month, though they said it would be free. Let it be known they were not willing to fully honor their agent’s “misspoken” word. Now it puts me in a bind in several ways, and I’m not very happy about that.
I explained to them the way “good customer service” is to be conducted. A business should honor their word, and the agent who gives the word is representative of the company. It is not my fault because she did not understand policy. It was not a “slip of the tongue” nor was it retracted, she confirmed with me and it was information to her knowledge, and it should be honored.
I also voiced that I see they’d rather lose a good customer than to honor their word. I am overwhelmed with poor business practices that I’ve witnessed over the past year more than ever, YET when dealing with a business, I still expect they’ll handle their customers with care and honor AND deliver on their promise. Things in my life are as such that I truly have to choose my fights wisely. But if/when time permits, I really want to report this to the BBB. I am tired of companies giving us a big one to bite and we’re too overwhelmed with all of these giants to pursue. My pennies are too precious right now and (I repeat) I only made the choice to cut my primary cell off with the information given to me. Yes, they must hear from me again….but from another phone carrier.
